Rental terms and conditions

These terms apply to every rental made through our website, by phone or at a branch. They are a summary of the rental agreement you will sign when you collect the car. If anything here conflicts with the signed agreement, the signed agreement applies.

1. Who can rent

  • The main driver must be at least 21 years old and must have held a full, valid driving licence for at least one year. Drivers aged 21 to 24 pay a daily young-driver fee. Some vehicle classes (luxury, sports and motorcycles) require a minimum age of 25.
  • Licences not in English must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit.
  • You must show a government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID card) and a credit or debit card in the main driver's name at pick-up.
  • Additional drivers must be added to the booking, be present at pick-up with their licence, and meet the same requirements. Only drivers named in the agreement may drive the vehicle.

2. Booking and payment

  • Your booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email or message. Online bookings that require payment are held for a short time (shown at checkout) while you pay.
  • The rental price covers the vehicle for the dates and times shown, the standard insurance described in section 7, and any add-ons you selected. Taxes are shown separately where they apply.
  • We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfer for long rentals, and cash at the branch for the balance. Online payments are processed securely by our payment partners; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Rentals are charged in 24-hour periods starting from the pick-up time.

3. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit is held when you collect the vehicle. The amount depends on the vehicle class and is shown at checkout. It is released within a few working days after a clean return. We may deduct from it any charges listed in sections 6, 8 and 9 (for example fuel, late return, damage, fines or tolls) and we will send you an itemised statement whenever we do.

4. Pick-up and return

  • Please arrive at the agreed time. We hold a booking for up to two hours after the pick-up time; after that we may treat it as a no-show.
  • At pick-up we inspect the vehicle with you, record mileage and fuel, and mark any existing damage on the diagram. Please check it carefully and tell us if you disagree with anything before you drive away.
  • Return the vehicle to the agreed branch, at the agreed time, with all keys, documents and accessories. Returns to a different branch are possible if agreed in advance and may carry a transfer fee.
  • Late returns: a grace period of 30 minutes applies. After that we charge for each additional hour at the late-return rate shown in your agreement, up to a full extra day. If the vehicle is not returned within 24 hours of the due time and we have not heard from you, we may report it as missing.

5. Fuel and mileage

  • Fuel policy: return with the same level you collected. If it is lower, we charge the fuel at the local pump price plus a service fee. Electric vehicles are handled the same way, based on battery charge.
  • Most rentals include 200 km per day. Extra kilometres are charged at the rate in your agreement. Long rentals may include a monthly allowance instead.

6. Using the vehicle

  • Drive carefully and follow the law. Do not use the vehicle for races, tests, towing, off-road driving, driving schools, or the carriage of passengers or goods for payment.
  • No smoking or vaping in the vehicle. A cleaning fee applies if the car needs special cleaning.
  • Pets are welcome in a travel crate or on a protective cover; excessive hair or soiling may incur a cleaning fee.
  • Do not take the vehicle outside Florida without our written permission. Travel outside the United States is not allowed.
  • Always lock the vehicle and keep the keys with you. If keys are lost, a replacement and call-out fee applies.

7. Insurance and damage

  • Every rental includes liability insurance and collision damage cover subject to an excess (deductible) shown in your agreement. Optional protection packages reduce or remove the excess.
  • Cover does not apply if the driver is not named in the agreement, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, breaks the terms in section 6, or acts negligently (for example leaving the keys in the car).
  • Tyres, glass, the underbody and roof are covered only by the premium protection package.
  • Report any accident, theft or damage immediately, and always within 24 hours. Call the emergency number on your agreement, and for accidents involving other parties or injury, call the police and get a report number. Do not admit liability.

8. Fines, tolls and fees

You are responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets and tolls incurred during your rental. If we receive a notice, we may pay it, charge the amount to your card or deposit together with an administration fee, and give your details to the issuing authority. Electronic toll devices are provided where available and charged at cost.

9. Cancellation, changes and no-shows

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pick-up. Later cancellations keep 20% of the booking amount. No-shows are charged one day's rental. Full details, including refunds, are in our cancellation and refund policy.

10. Breakdowns

If the vehicle breaks down or warning lights appear, stop safely and call our 24/7 assistance line. Do not arrange repairs yourself without our approval. If the fault is not caused by you, we will repair or replace the vehicle and refund the unused rental time.

11. Our right to end a rental

We may end the rental and collect the vehicle at your cost if you break these terms, give false information, or the vehicle is used unlawfully. No refund is given in that case.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Miami-Dade County. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
