Privacy policy
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, book a car or contact us, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have. We keep it in plain language; if anything is unclear, ask us.
1. Who we are
We are a car rental company operating from three locations in Miami, Florida. We are the "data controller" for the personal data described below. You can reach us at the address and email on our contact page.
2. What we collect
- Identity and contact details: your name, email, phone number, address and date of birth.
- Driving documents: driving licence number, licence expiry, passport or ID number, and scans of these documents if you upload them.
- Booking details: the vehicle, dates, locations, add-ons, flight number (if you give it), notes, and your rental history.
- Payment information: payment amounts, method and reference. Card details are entered on our payment partners' secure pages; we never see or store your full card number.
- Vehicle and trip data: pick-up and return photos, damage notes, mileage and fuel, and, for vehicles with a tracker, location data during the rental.
- Messages: emails, website form messages and WhatsApp conversations with our team.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic usage data through cookies (see section 7).
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Why it is allowed |
|---|---|
| Creating and managing your booking, taking payment, issuing the agreement and invoice | To perform our contract with you |
| Checking you are entitled to drive, and preventing fraud and theft | Legitimate interest, and legal obligation |
| Handling damage, fines, tolls and insurance claims | Contract, legitimate interest and legal obligation |
| Sending reminders (pick-up, return, payment) and service messages | To perform our contract with you |
| Loyalty points, offers and newsletters | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Improving our website and services | Legitimate interest |
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- payment processors (such as Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay) to take payments and process refunds;
- insurers and claims handlers when there is an accident, theft or damage claim;
- authorities, such as police or toll and parking agencies, when the law requires or when a fine was incurred in your name;
- service providers who help us run the business (email and SMS delivery, cloud hosting, backup and messaging), under contracts that require them to protect your data;
- a buyer, if the business is ever sold, subject to the same protections.
5. How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: 7 years, as required for tax and accounting.
- Driving licence and ID scans: until the end of the rental plus 12 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner and we are not required to keep them.
- Photos and location data: 24 months, or longer while a damage, fine or insurance claim is open.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to give you a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to how we use it, move it to another provider, or erase it. We will answer within 30 days. Where we must keep records by law (for example invoices), we will anonymise your name and contact details instead of deleting the record. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember the car and dates you chose. Preference cookies remember your language and currency. Analytics cookies, only if you accept them, tell us which pages are useful. You can block cookies in your browser; the booking page will still work but may forget your selection between visits.
8. Security
Access to personal data is limited to staff who need it, protected by individual logins and, for administrators, two-step verification. Data is encrypted in transit, sensitive settings are encrypted at rest, and backups are taken daily. If we ever suffer a breach that affects your rights, we will tell you and the authorities without delay.
9. Children
Our services are not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post updates here and, for important changes, tell you by email. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
