Senior Backend Engineer (Laravel)

Own the APIs and background workers that power our hiring platform used by thousands of recruiters every day.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain scalable REST APIs with Laravel
• Improve query performance and database design as data volumes grow
• Review code, mentor mid-level engineers and raise engineering standards
• Work with product and design to shape features from idea to release
• Take part in an on-call rotation and help us learn from incidents

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of professional PHP experience, 3+ with Laravel
• Strong SQL skills and experience with MySQL performance tuning
• Experience with queues, caching and event-driven design
• Comfortable writing automated tests and working in CI/CD pipelines
• Clear written communication in a remote team
